North America Convention Launches New Recruiting Tool

SPRINGVILLE, UTAH (April 7, 2010)—Neways (www.neways.com/usa) recently held an annual convention in Salt Lake City for its North America market, which includes independent distributors from all over the United States and Canada. Attendees also included guests from around the world. In addition to recognizing top-performing distributors, the company unveiled new products, sales tools, and, most importantly, a new recruiting tool called “A Life Without Limits.”

A Life Without Limits: This prospecting tool, which includes a booklet, DVD, and audio CD, is designed to help independent distributors share the Neways story. Included on the DVD is a 16-minute presentation explaining the Neways opportunity and a three-minute Getting Started segment. This tool differs from previous recruiting tools because it focuses not only on the Neways lifestyle but also the opportunity. At convention, leaders encouraged everyone to buy at least 100 of these tools and to give away two a day and always keep ten active prospects in play.

Distributors were seen leaving the store with armfuls of the new recruiting tool. “I think it’s going to grow people’s businesses out of this world,” said Carolyn Lawrence, a distributor.

Neways Australia Sponsors Olympic Race Walker

At the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, Australian race walker Jared Tallent won a silver medal in the 50-kilometer race and a bronze medal in the 20-kilometer race. He was the first Australian to win two athletic medals at the same Olympics since 1972 and the first male Australian to do so in 102 years.

Now, Jared and his wife Claire, who is also a race walker, are preparing to compete in the Commonwealth Games this October in New Delhi. “It would be a dream come true for both of us to bring home gold medals for Australia,” Jared said. Both he and Claire recently won gold medals at Australia’s National 20-kilometer Walk Championships.

Neways Bids Farewell to CEO Eric Larsen

SPRINGVILLE, UT (April 5, 2010)—After six years of service at Neways, Chief Executive Officer Eric Larsen has decided to step down for personal reasons. While Neways owner Golden Gate Capital searches for a new CEO, Chief Financial Officer Scott St. Clair will serve as interim CEO.

“We thank Eric for his contributions to the company, his tireless work ethic, and his dedication to Neways’ distributors, and we look forward to his continued contributions to the business in a consulting role,” said Prescott Ashe, Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital and Chairman of the Board at Neways.

“Neways is a critical investment for Golden Gate Capital, and we remain enthusiastic about the company’s prospects,” Ashe said. “We have ample capital to invest in the business to fund its future growth, and we are fully committed to the success of the company and, more importantly, its distributors.”

In his departure message, Eric Larsen said: “I leave Neways with nothing but positive feelings for this company and its future. Our sale to Golden Gate Capital in late 2006 was a fortunate event, both for our distributors and our mission. We have transformed to a truly world-class health and wellness company. I’m grateful for the opportunity I had to oversee these improvements.”

Interim CEO Scott St. Clair said: “I’m passionate about Neways, and I’m eager to do whatever I can to help the company keep progressing. Magic 10During a recent “Magic 10” tour in Belgium, Germany, Hungary, and the United Kingdom, Neways Europe launched 10 major new product and business concepts, including the new noncarbonated natural energy drink Acai Action.

“This Magic 10 initiative is full of power and excitement,” said Neways president and COO Brian Slobodow, who also leads the company’s Europe market. “The central theme of the meetings was sponsoring. Magic 10 is already helping us in our endeavor to bring the Neways Healthy Homes mission to even more households across the European region.”

Acai Action® Poised for Blockbuster Success

 At a recent prelaunch Diamond event in Japan, people lined up outside the showroom because they were so eager to learn about this new product. After hearing marketing vice president Jennifer Wolbers’s presentation, people rushed to the counter to purchase Acai Action®. With 800 people in attendance, 953 cases of Acai Action® were sold.

“When it comes time for an energy boost, people don’t want a pick-me-up packed with synthetic ingredients and refined sugars that give them a quick buzz but then cause them to crash,” said Wolbers. “People want natural energy—energy from a supplement that’s packed with the building-block ingredients the body needs to produce energy.
